I went with the 8" and 10". I think it will look ok and shouldn't be tooo wide.

Can you be more specific. I may want some special considerations.. >:D
I don't want to start a flood of calls for Sue, but I asked her about Paypal payment options and using my shipping account to cover shipping and she was happy to allow me this option. This is a real benefit for me and something I really appreciate.

Not all retailers will make special considerations for a potential customer and find it easier to say that is their policy not to change from their standard procedure.

I'm curious as to what size bags or boxes everyone is going to order. 8" left and 10" right or 2 eights or 2 tens? I'm thinking 2 eights to keep it as narrow as possible.
I am thinking two 8" cases. The SWMotech racks are 1.875 difference between left and right from what I have read. It will be offset by that amount with the two 8s but I think it will be worth it for the narrower width for my setup.

I am going with 8" on the Left , 10" on the right. I am going with gray bags with a black door for the 2 color option.

Though I haven't signed up yet, these are the front runners for me, too. Just trying to decide if $75 discount is worth ordering 5 months before I'll need them.

When/if I pull the trigger, I'll get both sides in 10". These will only be used on road trips and around town where width is no issue and carrying capacity is. I'll have my Wolfman expedition dry saddlebags for offroad riding/camping where I"ll want to pack not only way lighter, but much narrower as well and they will fit to the SWmotech racks with the optional Wolfman D-ring set.

We need 3 more people to commit to buying, then I am acquiring the release code. I have asked for a greater discount but at this time, the mfg is not willing to oblige since they have recently discounted the price of the luggage significantly. They are offering this group discount only to those buying the super tenere set up.

Maybe with your creative counting ;) and for those that ordered last Sept. I didn't order until mid-December so don't expect delivery until the middle of July or later. The hardest part will be seeing one of the local fellows riding his around while I wait (he ordered much earlier than me).

They're here:

My MicaTechs showed up this week so I assembled the SW Motech racks and slipped the bags in place.(ordered them way before any Group Buys)
This is the 37L and 45R and are overall around 36.5" in total width. The offset on the left bag bracket is around 1.75".
These things are top shelf build quality. Jesse luggage pales in comparison, as I have had at least 4 sets of them and never again after seeing these.
Anyone on the fence of the Group Buy you will not be disappointed.

thanks for the pics of that set up, that is what I am shooting for as well, I have no intention of doing any single track stuff, but I guess it gives a good idea what kind of room it will take up in garage.

I agree with nopork. The quality from MicaTech is excellent.

I'm a little concerned that the S10 may be upstaged with these hanging on it.

I have fabricated and welded stuff for decades. I scrutinized these in person, and spoke with the owner at length. The fit and finish is outstanding, as well as the design is well thought out. I agree with you, there are very few companies that can meet the quality of this luggage. I've waited a long time for a bike like the Super Tenere. That's why I am going with the best.

I spoke to Ben at Micatech and the gray and silver are actually the same. I was curious how different they were and he said the were the same, I guess just different listings on the website.

They have:
1) solid black
2) black with silver vein (spotted with silver on the black)
3) silver (they also called gray at one point)

I think the black with silver vein would look nice, I'm just thinking down the road about the need for touching up the paint due to scratches. Easier to find a match for straight black. That's the main reason I decided on the black cases with the gray (silver), doors. Chances are, any tip overs will scratch on the case body and spare the doors. Also, a lighter color tends to make things look visually larger and these cases look plenty large enough as it is!

Myron, Not quite sure where the bike goes....can you get a large 12 by 20 piece of cardboard and write "INSERT BIKE HERE" ? Would help some of us visualize a little better...............maybe even a couple of arrows, front, back left up. Better yet, can you get a stool and sit between them in the picture? Would help a bunch!f Lol.

On a serious note, you have convinced me that these are the right bags for any of my adv bikes. Thanks a bunch for the help. I really do like them. See, i told you you needed to get a Yamaha so you can do all the homework....Thanks

On a serious note, .
