Greetings all, I am currently not an owner of a S10 yet. The purchase has to get approved by the finance committee (the wife). I am very excited about this bike and like most Americans I cannot wait for a demo ride in my area. I am very picky about purchasing a bike that I have not ridden. I was able to see the tenere at a local dealership, but not test ride, I couldn’t get the full effect. I liked how the bike looked and seat height. I’ve become almost obsessed by this motorcycle. I’ve been looking at all the magazine articles and youtube videos about this bike, and its only fueling my obsession even more. I don’t think I have ever been this excited about a bike I have never ridden before.
I am currently an on road biker, but I always wanted to take those dirt roads is see in the middle of no where, to see where they end up and not sacrifice comfort for my on road trips.
I’ve looked at other dual purpose bikes; Bmw GS, Kawasaki KLR, Kawasaki Verseys, Suzuki Vstrom. Very 650 I’ve looked at seems under powdered and the BMW is just way too much money for the service that Bmw now mandates to keep the warranty.
I cannot wait to ride one of these machines!

Welcome aboard. I hope you are able to buy one, if that turns out to be what you want. After my test ride, I'm glad I put the money down.. :)

I've found that if you have a brochure in each room of the house, they finally give in and say order it, so they can throw all but one brochure away. WELCOME, also from Wisconsin.

Thanks Guys. Just the other day I came home from work and I logged on this site for the second time and my wife came up to me and said, she's done her own research about the tenere and pretty much told me to wait until the July Demo in Wisconsin Star Motorcycle event. It will probably happen after July. There is a Yamaha Dealership 10 miles from my house. With 1 blue s10 on the way.
