Hello Folks,

Great job on setting up this site and thanks for all the useful information. I've been lurking for a bit and gleaning information before finally getting my deposit in last week on a blue one. Having had three GS models, I am very much looking forward to this bike (and never having a clutch spline lube again). Most of our scenic backroads up here in wine country are not in the best of repair and my poor ST1300 is very happy to hear the S10 is on its way. I look forward to reading and contributing to your discussions on suspension mods, exhausts, farkle, etc. As a big guy (300lbs) I'm usually first in line for the custom shock....

I think that you will find this site to be a good source for info on the S10. I have not been as far north as the wine region, but the Yosemite area was very beautiful.

Maybert welcome from Sacramento. I will admit to having to look up Windsor only to realize I have driven/ridden past/through it many times running up and down 101 or jumping over to Jenner. Welcome to the group. Maybe we need a Northern California group. I know there are at least 9 Super Teneres ordered in Sacramento alone. By the time we add in the Bay Area region, the Central Valley and the Foothills there should be a pretty good size group.

Just got back from 160 mile back road/dirt road loop over the hills to the coast (Gualala) on my DR650. Can't wait to try that on the S10.

Hey Bruce, I agree there will most likely be strong S10 sales here in Northern California. I placed my order at Mission Motorcycles in Daly City (Good folks, I used to work there when I was in college) two weeks ago and was surprised to hear it was their first deposit. Hopefully they get a few more before time is up.

Oh and about Windsor.... I used to ride through it every month going back and forth between SF and Humboldt State. Nothing but vineyards and trailer parks back then. Would never have guessed I'd end up here, but I am sure happy I did.

We rode through some of northern Calf. last summer on a trip out west. I thought it was just awesone. We road highway 36 across and some times we were down to first gear the corners were so tight. Hope to make it back someday.
