I did something terrible to my 2016 ES. Put a big lump of steel out to the side and added a training wheel.
Then removed and replaced the front and rear ES shocks.
Sure, it would have been better to buy a non ES model but this came up - right time, right place, right price.
Anyway, great forum with great info. Very generous contributors.
Cheers, Eric

The leading link front end reduces the trail and makes it easier to steer.
Also, it is much more robust compared to forks and can better handle the increased side loading compared to just tipping a two wheeler to steer.

Welcome to the bunch.
Quite the project!

We've had a few others hack their Teneres so you may be able to learn something with the Search box.

Before I get a swelled head, I didn't build the sidecar myself, I worked to earn $$$$ so I could pay someone else with a lot more talent than me to build it.
Luke built the chair, cutting it out of steel with a 4 inch grinder then welding it all together and joining it up to a 1987 BMW K100.

By the time the K100 started showing its age Luke had unfortunately passed on. Phil took the chair off and joined it to the S10 and also built the leading link.

Neither Luke or Phil operate/d as a formal business as such, but undertake/took one build at a time to the clients requirement.
