I have been a lurker on this forum since October. I bought my S10 in September 2011 and while I love it I continue to add mods to it.

It came with stock panniers, skid plate and crashbar which I will change out in time. So far I have added risers, changed the horn to horns, heated grips and magnetic drain plugs. Windshield and longer brake and clutch lines are next.

I got hooked on the S10 last March when me and a friend of mine went to Bike Week in Daytona. We usually go every year and ride the demos. Sometimes there is nothing like riding someone elses bike. Well Yamaha had the S10 for demos and we took them for a spin. It was love at first ride. It was screaming "Go ahead, get wild!" Couldn't wait to get one.

Finally I got my ducks in a row and was able to pick it up last september. My wife inherited my 90k 05 Suzuki C90 and I got the fun bike.

She thinks I'm an idiot for getting it (I'm 54). Maybe it's a mid life crisis thing, I don't really care.

Got about 5700 miles on it now, mostly going back and forth to work. I need to break it in right and run the Blue Ridge Parkway (maybe complete it this time) or do another Iron Butt ride. Would love to go to Whitehorse this summer, but it's not in the cards.

Found a lot of good info here that should keep me on the road and out of the shop.

Welcome on, baldone. I saw your post yesterday, but given my advancing years and retreating mind, I didn't spot you as a new member. Welcome to the Forum and no mid-life crisis going on there. Just a discerning and enthusiastic biker. And if you got a black one, you're also brilliant. Good luck with it and have fun. ::004:: R. ::022::

Welcome aboard baldone and congrats on the new bike! There is nothing wrong with having a mid-life crisis, regardless of your age and how many times it happens!!!

Again, ::004::

Great to have you step forward Baldone! Sounds like you are enjoying as the bike is meant to be enjoyed.
