Hello.. Been a member/lurker for a couple of weeks now and am finding this forum quite informative. Definitely a valuable resource for the S10.
Many thanks to all the contributors! ::008::
I picked up a new S10 Raven on New Years Eve.. what a nice bike! I've only been able to put a ~150 miles on it so far, but it already has me searching for gravel roads! It is so composed, even with the stock Battlewings.
I'm 51yo and this is bike #11. Raced motocross in my youth and then rode street bikes for several years around CO, WY, ID, MT and SD. My main form of two wheeled travel over the last 15 years have been a series of Trek mtn bikes. So I definitely like off road.
I bought a used but clean DR 650 last summer as it seemed like a good all around bike. I was disappointed. Very nice engine, but needed another gear and suspension improvements. Decided I didn't want to sink a bunch of money in to it.. so I got most of my money back on the sale.
I had been lusting for some time over the MTS 1200.. but just couldn't pull the trigger on it. Although I was very close.
Again, thanks again to all the people who have added their experiences on various farkles. It sure is nice to be able learn from others' experiences. ::003::
And to ::002:: WHAT A GREAT BIKE!
