Got a 2020 Super Tenere 1200 es 2 weeks ago and I love it. Been riding only since 2020 but come from a offroad back ground. But I enjoy both offroad and tarmac. I got the super T12 to be able to go where i wanted. People told me I should have gotten a Gs1250 but only a noob that never owned a Yamaha would say such a dumb thing. I only own Yamaha and always will only own Yamaha. Only thing in my garage now a Yamaha is my Honda snow blower. My 4x4 is a Yamaha, my bike is a Yamaha and my previous bike was a Tracer 900 GT 2019 also a Yamaha. People saying that the Super T12 is the poors man GS makes me laugh. You would give me a brand new GS and i would sell it to pimp my Super T12. Im gonna keep that bike till I can not ride it anymore then ill give it to my son. Try to do that with an unreliable BMW :p This 48 year old fart did his research and I know for a fact that the Super T12 is the most mistaken bike and not understood in the world. Will be a shame when they stop making it but I don't care since I have mine and its here for a long time. Not for sale ever

Welcome, from Texas. You really should open up a little and tell us what you think. :D I also echo your sentiments on Beemers.

Well I am loving this bike. I bought it used with only 2000 miles on it. It has a givi trekker skid plate and Im searching for a good set of crash bars since i intend on going offroad. Only thing is most ones I find need to connect to the skidplate from the same vendor. So im looking for a good crashbar that wont break the bank

I came from the FJ/FJR, with some BMW RT and Honda ST thrown in. And the Tenere is my favorite. I went with MASTECH crashbars. I like how they mounted to the same points that Yamaha used, and they seem stout enough. I got mine for $135usd but they've gone up. They hit first and are short enough that they don't "lever" into the bike.

Ya im looking for something that covers abit higher
If they mount in the same place, and go up higher, that where the "levering" come in. The longer a bar is the less force it takes on the end to move it.
