I’m a new member as of today I just signed a purchase and sales agreement for 2019 1200 Super T with just over 5100 miles I will pick up Monday. Been riding Super Sport Touring bikes c14 Concours for years this is my first venture into an Adventure Touring motorcycle. My buddy convinced me to get into a motorcycle that could handle a bit of light off road if needed. He has a 2021 Africa Twin DCT which is a nice motorcycle Last August I road my C14 Concours with him deep into Quebec. I was all for getting an Africa Twin before that ride. As we were traveling together fueling up at the same time he barely got 200 miles before he was pointing at his fuel tank. Then I discovered the AT‘s tank was 5 gallons not enough for rural areas. Then we had some cold mornings in Canada I flip on my bikes heated grips his AT no heated grips it’s an option from the dealer and almost $450 installed. Then I see no center stand another dealer option $220 bucks plus installed. Then after a full day of rain riding along the coast his chain had rust on it so he was to oil his chain. My Concours is a shaft so no putzing with oiling and cleaning a chain. he found his windshield was to short for foul weather riding anther $210 for a CalSi windshield…optioned out like a Super T come standard is just under $20k. After doing some research I discovered the Super T clicks all those gotta have boxes ..it doesn’t have a color touch screen or Apple CarPlay ..but on a cold rainy morning in the middle of nowhere.. heated grips, 6 gals gas, a center stand to do service and an out of the weather driveshaft for 12.5 k out the door for a 2019 smoking deal.

Welcome, from Texas. I used to live in Kittery back in the late '80s and had an '86 FJ. Still have the FJ, but with the Tenere being my favorite bike ever, she is neglected. The Kancamagus Highway is one of my favorite roads ever.

Most appreciated Sierra 1 Kittery is beautiful... I had a ski home In Lincoln NH at Loon Mt .. I love the “Kanc” too. I’ve ridden hundreds of times …on the North Conway of the Kanc side is Hurricane Mountain road is another classic wild motorcycle ride.

Welcome from Seattle-ish and congrats on the new (to you) '19! Looks like you have a great starting point to make it your own.

Enjoy the new scoot!

It's quite common here for members to have a sport tour in addition to the Tenere. Of course, the FJ/FJR is the most common. There's a guy in New Zealand, IIRC, that also has a C14 in addition to the Tenere.

Love it up in Central Maine. Last rode around there two years ago. Wife and I did Baxter SP etc a few months ago in the SUV. Congrats and yeah you have a good lineup in your garage. I also had a Yamaha sport tourer but not the FJ. The newer Connies interest me but for now the Super Ten has been doing it all.
