Yes, It is alot of cash for A 3/4 but this thing is very nice.
I looked at others and have owned several 3/4 helmets including My Bell Mag 9 Sena but this one takes top honors.
Fit is unique as the cheek pads drop down lower than other helmets.
Wind noise is minimal and venting features are thorough.
Shield has a good solid close lock detent and snug travel up and down.
Visor is funtional het has less drag in the wind.
The ear pockets are very accomodating and my glasses slid in easily without squeezing at the temple areas, Arai designed plenty of room in these areas. (big plus)
Light weight and excellent freedom of movement and peripheral views are exceptional, this thing is nearly 5 stars.
The only drawback I see is the limited colors and grahics available, as this would be 5 stars indeed.

Thanks for the post!

I really like 3/4 open face helmets for the summer. I would love to have this Arai helmet but it is too pricey for something I wouldn't wear all year around. Maybe if I lived somewhere really hot.

My problem is that the affordable 3/4 helmets are almost always a round profile, which does not fit my head. I have the Arai Intermediate Oval/narrow oval shaped head. For now, I use an HJC IS-33 3/4 helmet and it is in between a round and neutral oval fit which is close enough for me. I do feel some pressure on my forehead from it but it isn't noticeable now that it is broken in.

Let us know how you like the helmet in the long term.
