Picked up my 2012 Tenere last night.

Coming off an FJR, I really wasn't sure what to expect but I'm pleasantly surprised at how powerful, nimble and comfortable this thing is! It 's not as smooth as the FJR (but honestly, is anything?), but this is without a doubt just as capable, for my needs anyway, as the FJR and obviously more versatile.

I bought form the original owner for 8k with 15,000 miles on the odometer. It's pretty well farkled:

Cal-Sci wind screen
Madstad bracket with GPS cross bar and additional stabilizing bars
RAM Montana mount (Montana not included)
Rox Risers
Rumbux crash bars and skid plate
Seat leveling mod
Sheepskin seat cover
Yamaha side cases

A top case and GPS are first on my list of additions to what I see as being a beautiful relationship with this bike.

::004:: and congrats! Now put some 50/50 tires on that thing and start exploring those dirt roads.

Looks great! You got a better deal than I did on my '12.
I paid 9K for mine and the only farkle it had is the only one you're missing - top box.

Thanks guys.. For now, I'm just gonna ride the tread off the current tires and get more comfortable with it. Previous owner set it up very nicely so fortunately, my farkle list is short!

Bike is barely broken in! And all those farkels are probably worth almost as much as you paid! Nice Buy!

Went with the Givi Trekker 52 Monokey and the Altrider rack and monokey adapter. Got the back rest for the Mrs.

They don't give this stuff away, do they? ::021::
