Hi all
I'm a new member and recently purchased a mint condition very low mileage (4500 miles) 2010 first edition. so far I have only done about 150 miles (I've only had it ten days as I write) but my initial experience is very positive indeed.
I live in Hampshire, in the UK, and have toured around many countries in Europe over the years.
For the last two years I've been riding a 650 mk2 V Strom, also known as the 'Glee'. I've covered 13500 miles in that time and IMHO it is the best mid range AT on the market: very comfortable, economical, good handling and good performance for it's size. But it is only a 650 and obviously lacks the torque of a larger engine, which is the main reason why I've changed.
Prior to owning the Glee, I rode TDM 900's (A fantastic bike and I had 2 of them over a 9 year period) but fancied a change,ł as you do, and chose the Suzuki based upon reading several reviews, not least the one from the late great Kevin Ash who really praised it to the hilt.
But now I'm back to Yamaha and looking forward to putting quite a few miles on the S10 and also in time meeting some of you guys.
Cheers for now and happy new year
