I've never hidden an upright twin. Would you say that the bike is smooth on the highway? Any issues with vibrations through the grips?

Pretty good assessment. Add a throttle rocker and an Excel throttle lock and you're good to go.jbrown said:I think it's just what you'd expect a modern parallel twin to be.
It's smoother than all of the older singles and twins I've had, but not as smooth as the inline four or v4 I've had.
Mirrors are clear and nothing buzzes.
My throttle hand gets tired holding against the pretty stiff spring, which leads to some numbness I've previously associated with vibration. My clutch hand has no such issue, so I think it's a small vibration combined with holding against the spring.

There is a little vibe on acceleration and as mentioned if you touch the levers (or the brush guards) you will feel it but at speed it is quite comfortable. Unlike the buzz you can get with an inline 4, what vibe there is tends to be of low frequency which to most people is less intrusive too.
