I just got a Trekker Outback top box(58L) and now I want the side cases to go with it. But now I have a hard time figuring out what I want for the right side, 37L or 48L... I guess what I really want is what would give the most balanced look, I don't think that I need the 48L capacity but I don't mind having it either. How wide both setups are? How much wider than the handle bars?

Anyone has a rear view picture with a 37/37 setup? I've seen 1 with a 48/48 setup, a few with 37/37 setup but no direct rear view so it's hard to tell what it really looks like. Most people seem to go with the 37/48 setup, I would think that there is a good reason why.

just measured up for you they are very even at the back having the 37 exhaust side and 48 right side and no the handle bars are slightly wider than the 2 boxes at the back roughly 38 inches panniers in total, 39 inches rough handguards

I have Givi Dolomiti cases on mine, with 37 litre on both side. Visually, there is very little difference although the measured difference is that the exhaust side sits 1.5” further out.

The guy in the green jacket is me. 2 - 48L boxes. I also have the 42L top box. The 52L top box is wide enough that you have to slip the lids past it when opening.
