hello,

I have the Hepco Becker's topcase "Gobi". I'm thinking over purchase of Givi Trekker Outback 48L/37L combo side cases.
Has anybody any idea if having such configuration will I be able to open lids of side cases...? I'm affraid that topcase will block opening of right side case...

Thank You in advance! ;)

If it is a really good offer then get them, you could always 'move' the top box back a little to allow for the lids to open? I don't know how your Gobi is fitted but maybe a larger plate to allow it to be moved backwards is an option........ what have you got to loose? The only other options would be to go for side opening cases....

As far as I know, givi's can be opened on both sides ,thus removable completely.

there is still one small problem - it looks like Givi has designed Cam-side rack for XT1200Z and ZE models with grab bars for passanger...my version is without these bars. Is there anybody who has tried to mount tis rack without grab bars...? Maybe it's enough to add some washers to eliminate missing bars?

I've measured the thickness of the grab rails for someone else, and the spacers you would need is 17mm, this would take into account the grab rail thickness and the spacer that is in between the grab rail and the subframe. You will require 4. If your machine is the ZE, it should have come with the rails....

Hi Osu. I have these in 37litre matched with the 46 litre Top box. It is not easy but you can push a little to one side. They open but I would be afraid long term that they would bend out of shape.

can You remember the total width of Your 46L topcase? My Gobi is 45cm wide - maybe less wide than yours...?

finally mounted on my bike...total width of set with 37L + 48L side cases is 103cm (abt. 40,5").
No problems with opening lids when topcase (Gobi) mounted...
So, so far so good ::012::

Of course I had to wait for separate delivery from Givi's technical support regarding additional sleeves (my version is 2015 "Z", so without passenger grab bars...). But Givi promissed to deliver necessary parts free of charge and I have received as promissed. So good for them! ::008:: Frankly speaking new racks should include both versions of XT1200 Z and ZE...it seems that Givi know the "problem" but they havn't changed rack setup yet ::007::
