Pictures attached showing size of topbox on bike and Givi alloy rack it is mounted to.
If you want to fit the rack to a 2014 non ES bike you will need a Yamaha topbox mounting plate which is 100 British pounds! or get given one by your dealer who happens to have it lying around :)
The box is supplied with thicker rubbers for the rack but they are too thick to get the topbox to latch so put two thicker rubbers in the front of the rack and leave the originals next to the latch, over time the thicker rubbers will compress and can be fitted near the latch and then the topbox is a snug fit.
The top rails on the box are fairly loose and rattle so I put a bungee between the two rails.

Thanks, I've got the 42L one in black. I'm really impressed with this top box, looks great and is very sturdy as well as seeming nicely built. Since I have the top-opening OEM side cases, the 58L would be too wide and require removal to access the top cases. As it is the 42" only clears the lids by about 1/4".

I had the same problem with the thicker bumpers and ended up just using all of the thinner ones that were originally installed. Even with those, the box seems to fit snugly with no slop. I'll keep the thicker rubbers for the front, should the thin ones take some compression set and begin allowing the box to become loose. The side rails on mine don't seem to rattle but the release mechanism lever does a little bit. If the top rails start to loosen my plan is to wick some low viscosity epoxy into the interface there which will put a stop to that.
