I am thinking about buying a Givi T480 tank bag for my S10 for an upcoming cross county trip. I am wondering if any one else has one and what do you think of it. Any feedback would be appreciated

is that the one with the quick release ring?
if so, my buddy has one on his wee and is happy with it.
I run a SW motech GS bag (25L) and i'm very happy with it.

Did you use the ring on the tank for the FJR? I can't seem to find one listed for the S10

Yes, it's the same as the FJR and most other Yamaha bikes. The part number is Givi BF05.

I have the smaller Givi tankbag (http://www.giviusa.com/soft-luggages/Tank-bags/TPH02-TANKLOCK) mounted on my S10, which uses the same mount as the larger bag. It is small, but I was only looking for a small bag to hold sunglasses, Fasttrac, and other small items. It took 5-minutes to install and pops on/off in seconds.

I put it on in the dealers parking lot. It just said for Yamaha so guess it fits several models.

Thanks super ten. With the price difference between the givi and the bags connection you could get both the small and the large givi.

FYI I have two Givi Tank Lock bags on my 2014 S10. Both are great with one issue.

If you have bar risers or bar pull backs you will get interference of the tank bad with the bars / clamps .... Larger tank bag more issues

I have the Givi XS308 Tank Bag with tank ring part #BF05 installed on a 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere ES. Costs around $170.
The bag ialigns perfectly over the tank and it doesn't obstruct the view of the instrument cluster (i am 5'6") ::015::nor does it interfere with the steering (see pics in the link).
It's quite specious and has three pouches around it in addition to a map pocket, iPad pocket and a rain cover. Served me well on both day trips and cross country trips. Will be riding with it to Alaska in June. ;)

I also have the GIVI 308. Not sure how it would compare with the one you are looking at, but I have ridden in the rain a couple of times ( real rain, real long ) using the supplied cover and it worked well. Lots of room. I also have a ring mounted to another bike and switch the bag to which ever one I am riding that day. Have been doing this for awhile and the locking mechanism continues to function perfectly. I would recommend GIVI in general, as a good product.

I have a Givi 3D603 on my S10 as I only wanted a small bag. The tank lock system is first class. The bag cannot scratch your tank, it is very secure yet easily removed. Although I am very happy with this set up I cannot compare it to the competition as I have only owned the Givi.

As for the tank bag, I find it VERY useful for my phone, camera etc when touring but it is NOT waterproof in heavy rain. A plastic rain cover comes with the bag but this can be a PITA to use.
