After a little incident out in the boonies of Utah, at the far end of Moody Canyon Trail, off of the Wolverine Loop, off of the Burr Trail, where I ended up with my tibia (shinbone) broken in two places, and riding for six days in that condition after I wrapped it with an ACE bandage (Hey, I ain't cuttin' a ride short just for a dad-gum broken leg.), getting back home and having to have surgery, and now having a titanium plate and a collection of dry wall screws and deck screws holding everything together - I've decided to convert over to soft luggage saddle bags.
And to do it right, I need some kind of a rack system. I've got it narrowed down to the two choices in the title, above. I want to be able to quickly remove the racks for the times that I'll be doing afternoon or day trip rides.
I know that's a lot of questions, but I sincerely appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Tim

- Of the two choices, above, what would be your personal choice?
- Which one keeps the center of gravity the lowest?
- Which one keeps the bags the closest to the bike, without being too close?
- Any big cons for either brand?
- Which brand would best fit soft bags around 35 liters in size?
I know that's a lot of questions, but I sincerely appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Tim
