Hello One and All,

Do any of you have experience with Givi Trekker panniers as far as there being enough space for a passenger to sit comfortably when the panniers are mounted, especially for the legs?

Thanks for the input!

I just received the 33L Givi Trekker side bags with the Givi mount, yesterday. I haven't rode yet with them. But out of curiosity I sat on the passenger place with the bags on. And I have plenty of leg room, and the cases are not in anyway a problem for the passenger. I would say that the handle of the case are even more convenient than the stock passenger's handles.

Another point: I was impressed by the quality, fit and finish of the mount. The cases themselves are made of thick plastic. Look decent. Time will tell. My only grip for now is the fact they come with only ONE KEY for each case. You end up with 2 keys (one for each) and no spare.

This picture of my previous S10 might give you an idea.

Frechfries, when I bought my Givi set up all the panniers came with either 2 or 3 keys and because they are 'key co-ordinated I have plenty of spares. As they are a recent purchase, I'd go back and talk to the supplier.

I complained that the cases were delivered with ONE key for each. Actually, inside the case is another one taped in, without plastic grip. That makes TWO keys! ::002::

Caution: To get a set of cases with matching locks, you need to order a SET OF TWO, not two cases like I did. Not the same reference, and it seems a bit murky to get the right reference according to the customer center at motorcycle-superstore.com. But at least now you know.

Had the same problem myself and further compounded it after buying a 52L topcase from e-bay. Go to a GIVI supplier on the internet and order a lock and barrel and key set (GIVI SL102= 2 keys & 2 barrels). ::008::

Plenty of passenger room with the Outbacks as well. Outbacks came with a 3 key set. Was able to swap tumblers in my 48L Trekker top box so now 1 key opens them all. Very convenient.

Also have the Givi 33 L side cases and an E55 top case. On a 10 day trip last year with my daughter on the back she reported that she was quite comfortable. No issues with the cases getting in the way.

As to the keys, I bought my side cses and top case separately so I got annoyed having to fiddle with separete keys for the side cases and the top case. I ended up buying a set of three, identically keyed replacement locks from revzilla. problem solved.
