Since destroying my oem pannier in a crash, I've been considering a switch to soft luggage. Got this Giant Loop rackless bag today and mounted it to the bike.
It would sit 3 inches lower without the rotopax and hand rails installed.
I will continue to use the plastic top case on trips just to lock my helmet inside.

Heading out on a 3 day road trip next week to give this a try.

Your garage looks like mine, well just the two bikes. I have a 2018 GW Tour and my Super T. It's hard to decide sometimes which bike to take out.

Looks pretty good! I may borrow my buddies for GL bag for some more 'serious' offroading in the Kootney's in late July as I don't like riding steeper, rougher stuff with hardbags.
