Gen1 to a Gen2

Whelp, I've been bitten by the adv riding bug and I've infected my bro-in-law with it. I've loved my 2013 S10 but I'm going to sell it and get a new '16 or '17. I'll be selling my 2013 to my bro-in-law....but I'm gonna keep all my stuff off it. So question, is everything able to swap over from a Gen1 to a Gen2, i.e. Givi crash guard, Givi skid plate, Seat Concepts, Windshield, etc ?

Also any direct experience info from folks who went from a Gen 1 to a Gen 2, I would love to hear it.

Short answer is yes. But only if it is a non-ES version, otherwise some parts are not interchangeable , but I think it is limited to the panniers rails...... Search 'Gen 1 vs Gen 2'

I did what you plan to do, could not be happier, well worth the trade up. So much smoother, I did get the non ES version, but other than than that very happy ::008::

Awesome, thanks for the info. Yep, once I changed the clutch basket in the 2013 it became evident I liked the Super Tenere, and now my bro-in-law wants in, lol. So I'm gonna take total advantage of the situation!

The windshield brackets are different between the two generations. however, you can remove the factory adjuster from a Gen 2 and the horns are the same as the Gen 1. As Dogdaze mentioned, there have been plenty of threads here talking about the differences between the two, so feel free to search away
