Looking to the collective wisdom.

Smashed my holdover bought 2013 (to get the white) into a deer totaling it.

I really liked my Wunderlich bracket with the Yami touring windscreen. Freaking perfect for me.

Immediately took off the crazy heavy and not functional bracket on my new Tenere. Although I like the new windshield I would never use the cross bar and the range of motion did not cut it for me.

I saved my old Wunderlich bracket and darned if it doesn't fit. So I put on my Gen I OEM windshield and it also fit fine.

Before I invest in the Yami touring windscreen and the little black hole covers has anyone gone with this setup?

I know one thing the front end looks much cleaner without the funky bracket.

Thanks!

I also ditched the bracket and ended up with the same shield that I've always used on my 12.

I replaced the bracket and screen from my 16 ST with the GIVI Airflow from my 13 ST (plus some custom spacers).

So the Givi that fit the 2013 was not an exact fit once you removed the bracket.

I guess that's what I was getting at. The windshield stanchions look exactly the same. The only addition is the black plastic "wings" piece. I was wondering if it gets in the way. It does not with my Wunderlich windshield adjuster in the highest position with the Gen I stock screen. Before I dump money into a touring (taller) screen I wanted to make sure it would fit.

I have my '12 windscreen on my '15. The Gen II dash is different and has the cord in a different spot to the front of the bike. Because of that, the plastic center part that covers that area under the screen is different. When I went to mount my Gen I screen, it hit that center black plastic panel. I ordered the Gen I part, dremeled a tiny area for the cord to clear, and it's a direct fit after that. That also allows the use of the Gen I side wind deflectors.

The Gen I black plastic center cover is only $6 or so. The main center piece is the same on both Gens. This is why the windscreen on the Gen II sucks. The adjuster bracket is just slapped onto the Gen I part, so the screen is too far forward, causing turbulence at the rider in many cases. I was happy with my Gen I windscreen/side wind deflector combo. I'm happy again with the same set up on my Gen II. FWIW, my bike was bought used with a MaddStadd adjuster, not the OEM one. I did not care for it, though many do. I've never had the OEM adjuster to try.
