Thank you, missed that in my search. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Paid the $20 for a digital copy of the service manual. Looks to be a communication issue between the ECU or SCU with the gauges. Grrrr...

Looks like I was looking at SCU codes instead of ECU. ECU comes back with 13, 22, 69, 89. 13 and 22 are related to intake air temperature sensor. 69 is front wheel sensor. and 89 has been mentioned.

Got excited today when the light wasn't on when started. 500M later the engine was stalling at idle and bucking and the light came back. Time to do some digging.

It is a known issue, that if the battery is not in top condition, the bike will show all sorts of error codes, that really is not there.
Just saying :)

Battery is brand new from earlier in the season.

I think I have me a bad intake air pressure sensor. Using the diagnostic mode reading was all over the place from 0, to 30, to 80, never reached the 100kPa that it is today.

Unplugged the sensor and motor ran perfectly.

Do you mean the MAP sensor down by the left throttle body?

That's the one. Good news for me is the part matches up my old Yamaha FZ1 that I happen to have a spare set of throttle bodies in storage. Will check tomorrow if the sensor is on there, but I'm pretty sure it is.

Forgot to mention that I kept on getting code 13 after clearing the existing codes.

The MAP sensor is a failure point in the automotive world. It's a key sensor. The disconnect and run is a good diagnostic.

So 3 weeks later, the bike is fixed (I hope )... Didn't have the right sensor, so ordered it off e-bay. Canada Post took forever so bought one from a semi-local wrecker yesterday, of course the first part showed up today.

Either way, did 300 miles today, bike run better than it has all season.

My season started off with the bike not wanting to start after winter hibernation. Started after some trying with new plugs and air filter. Still had a hiccup every time I started it and an odd engine vibration from the motor that got worse at higher RPM. Nothing terrible, the engine just felt maybe 10% rougher than normal. Enough to notice, but not bad enough to indicate a failure. At times, I could convince myself that it was all in my head.

With the new sensor, starts easily every time and no more vibration (well outside of the usual Tenere vibes). I guess it's a good thing the sensor failed outright as I was seriously thinking of selling the bike because of the now fixed engine vibration.
