After being told they would not order parts until they had the bike by gforce in lakewood,co. I took bike to Vickery in Aurora. They ordered part and then we made the appt. I was out of town for the week so they had all week to do it. I was nice enough to have low fuel for them and they said nothing about my crash bars. They are excellent. I returned with my TPS sensor kit (LOVE IT), my new skid plate, and my own tires for installation. Done same day of apointment for $240. Would have taken me 2 days to do it all.

Anybody tackle this recall work themselves? Seems pretty straightforward and I don't trust my dealer wholeheartedly.

When I did the headlight recall I brought the headlight assembly in to them loose.

I bought a used 2012 well after this recall started. Would Yamaha customer service at the number given in the recall notice back in 2018 be able to tell me if it was done?
I am pretty sure that if the recall was performed at a Yamaha dealership it would be documented for that particular bike/VIN.
