Hi All,

When heading out on my Sun morning ride yesterday, I noticed I had to put a lot more effort into moving the gear shifter with my foot. I've never noticed this before and on my 200 mile ride yesterday, I just rolled over 2K miles. Any suggestion on lubrication I could do to try combat this? It did improve once I'd put 30 or so miles on it. Thanks.

I remove the bolt and clean the threads and bearing surface well and then put bearing grease on it... not the threads though!. From memory I believe that the manual tells you to put blue thread locker on the threads. I just did this in my thread with pics "what TenereGUY has been up to " if you want to see pics.

I have a 2oz bottle of Tri-Flow Lube in my bike tools. It has a dropper nozzle that's perfect for the shifter pivot, and most other of the s10's pivots/fulcrum points.

It also has a screw-on lid that is less likely to fall of and spontaneously clean and lube the tool bag!
