I agree but the price may be a detriment. Local dealer has them on the Web site already at 13K list. You can get into liter naked bikes from Kawasaki and Suzuki for thousands less.

the motor will be bonkers. But at $15700 Canukistan dollars...it's a big ask.

They were smart enough to enlarge the tank to 17L.
This was a big reason I sold my FZ09, 14L in town was a joke. 200km and you're pushing.
My FJ09 is much better on fuel, and the 18L tank gives me a range of 300km in town

Both the FZ or FJ are rated by Yamaha to get around 44 mpg. I found those numbers to be pretty accurate in real world conditions. The FZ10 is rated by Yamaha at 30mpg. Some owners are reporting getting low fuel light in as little as 85 miles. Ouch!

yep. 160 hp will be thirsty. I'll stick to my FJ. 5.4L/100km (43.5 mpg) in town, and wheelies on demand.

It doesn't have to be. I currently have 2 bikes that both produce 160hp. One gets 40 mpg and the other gets around 44. I was really surprised to see such a low number from a Yamaha. I expect them to do quite a bit better. With that said, their fueling on a lot of recent bikes is not nearly as good as it should be.

could be the cross plane motor. Then again, the tenere, and FZ09 is the same design

Just lookin for a hooligan bike.Super 10 stays in stable.I don't think a piped fz10 will have that nasty (cool) sound a piped fz09 has.
maybe. I modded both stock pipes on my FZ09, and the FJ09. The FZ had a deeper growl, and sounded nice. The FJ is a bit held back, but still sounds pretty decent.
That said, an FZ10 with a nice can, and that cross plane motor... :p
