I have to admit I have become much less anal and paranoid about stuff as age has crept up on me but this issue lingers in my mind. Most of the fuse boxes on the market have little means of weather proofing connections and wires. Every other wire on the bike is covered and protected by tape,, sealing devices and yet the majority of the boxes on the market leave open exposed wires. Anyone else got an issue with this.....I think Denali has a rubber boot on the sides, other than that it is Bare Naked wires.....ooooh...

I will save many of you the time and post...... ::021::...yeah I know

Aerostitch PDM 60, #4785 in the catalog. Waterproof. Breakers, not fuses. Pricey, but cool none the less.

I have used the Eastern Beaver box and the 3 fuse solution .......this is actually the product that prompted the question. The 3 fuse solution can be purchased with a weather protection rings......why is that such a big deal when the box has wires completeley exposed? I am not knocking Jim and his products. I have put several of his creations on my bikes and will continue to use his stuff.

I'm no expert on this and it has been discussed some on this site, but I've read in one of my previous owners manuals that the fuses should be taken out periodically and treated against corrosion. Hence, I suspect it is a good idea to do the best you can to keep them clean and happy.
