I lke many of you I am all about the Tenere so when I walk in the door of the Indy IMS show it is not long before I am checking out the 2014 Tenere.
Well I walk up to this beauty and there are two guys standing there looking it over and asking themselve questions about it. Naturally since I am not know to keep my mouth shut I start to chat with these guys about the bike. I tell them that I own one and like it and all that. Then start in on how I like the traction control and how the different settings react in different ways while on the gravel roads. Not giving it a second thought I will later realize that I was acually wearing a Yamaha shop shirt my wife got me for Christmas a couple years ago.
I continue about how I have logged about 16,000 miles on it since my purchase and then this third guy walks up and is listening as we talk about the bike sitting there.
They asked a few more questions and the third guy asks me if it's ok if he sits on the bike sitting there. I looked him straight in the eye and said "I don't care if you kick it over "
The look on his face was pricless :). Then I told him I do not work for Yamaha and he probably should not kick it over and walked away to see the Ducati girls .

The best part of the Washington IMS was the Norton girl ::012:: The Ducati girls had nothing on her .

::025:: Good story. I've BTDT to a degree in the past at the Seattle IMS. Walk up to the FJR and end up answering questions to the point where I'm selling more bikes than the Yamaha guys are, and they are asking me questions. :D Got to love that. It really gets fun when someone asks you how many miles you have on the bike. ;D That was real fun on the FJR once I was north of 100k.

They don't do Vegas, so now I'd have to go to Long Beach and it's just too much of a ride for so little new stuff. Not so many years ago the shows were really big and full of interesting stuff. The last couple of IMS I did in Seattle were tiny by comparison and had very little new stuff and were missing major manufacturing displays. :-[

That was you?! :D

I did the same thing, to a degree. It was hard not to. That grey looks nice.

Good times.

Did you want a pic of the Tenere or the Ducati girls ? By the way they were twin sisters with long blonde hair with nice nursers. My black eye is almost healed too :)
