I was watching the news today and they cut over to the USA where they interviewed a few motorists as fuel was under $2 per gallon. I've noticed in the UK that fuel has steadily been creeping downwards (£1.19 per litre locally) is this the same across the whole of the US and Canada ? Is it still falling elsewhere around the world ?

Up here in neverland, we are finally seeing some relief. We have found that when the price of crude oil goes up, our fuel prices go up the same day. When they go down, we are told that it has to "work it's way through the system". funny how that works. ::024:: We're gonna drop below 5 bucks a U. S. gallon soon … maybe already have. hip hip hooray Send money. R ::010::

In 2011 when I was on the Wee at the station that burnt [start of the Dempster] it cost me over $40.00 to fill the Wee up. ::010::

Jump on the oil stock while it's in the gutter. You can make a small fortune when it shoots back up.

The OPEC producers are playing a dangerous game right now in an attempt to damage North American (primarily U.S.) oil producers. This is a nice respite, but it will not last.

Good call Bruce, we all like a 'bargain' but at what cost ? BP have already started mumbling about job losses in the media or is it just an excuse to shed staff while they have a 'reason' ? Who knows...

South Africa the same, fuel has come down in prize real well and I heard that next month it will come down even more.

Nice for me, just finished a trip in Mozambique with the car and next week I take the S10 on a Namibia trip. ::014::

Does drop here very quickly too, right now 1.51chf, which is just under a £ per liter.
By far the most expensive Country I've ever been to. Those are pretty low prices at $6.12 a gallon. Incredibly low. :)

I've been riding 100-150 miles almost every day for the last month here in sunny south Florida. ::015::

That's great! Long commute, on vacation or retired? :D

Retired 10 years ago, now every day's a vacation! ::013::

My envious riding friends are still working and ask me if I'm cramming for the final...... they're bastards, all of them! ::) :D

It's coming down, but diesel is always slow to drop, and stations are all over the place in price. I filled yesterday for $2.99 a gallon. First time below $3.00 for quite some time. I got my first diesel truck back in 1989 and diesel was $0.99 a gallon first fill I did, and driving around the country diesel could be bought for $0.85 a gallon in certain areas, so even though prices are dropping, they are still far above what normal inflation would dictate, but still a big improvement.
Definitely all over the place here as well. The station that used to be one of the cheapest for diesel (not to mention the most convenient for me), no longer is. I've seen it range from about $3.80/gal down to $2.92/gal.will be interesting to see what it is in other parts of the state when I leave for my dune trip on the 26th.

Very consistent here. They conspire ……. Go figure. Very rarely one station will go rogue, but it's seldom. We're stuck with it. Send money. R ::008::

$2.45 per gallon for regular yesterday @ local Shell station. I am enjoying the lower prices but don't want to see others' employment suffer. There are also concerns about the increased railroad transport of the oil on an aging system in the US & Canada.
