FS the Perfect Pair 2014 FJR-1300/2014 Super Tenere XT1200

My Loss will be someones gain.

I am 69yr Old and purchased the 2 Yamaha's as a Retirement Present to myself.

Problem is in 2015 Jan. my Normal RT shoulder replacement started to fail.

This was replaced with a reverse shoulder on March 6th 2015.

This replacement started to give me a lot of pain in May 2015 and they were afraid that there might be a internal infection that did not show up via blood test.

On June 16th they reopened my shoulder and found a very bad infection. They had to remove my shoulder and replace it with a spacer treated w/ antibiotics.

I was placed on IV antibiotics for 2 months at home and on August 19th 2015 they again opened me up and the infection was cleared but the doc believes there was a lot of damage and although they replaced my shoulder again they believe I will only have limited function and they are very concerned that the new prosthetic will dislocate if I put much stress on it. Also told me that I should NOT continue ridding my MC's as I would be putting myself in a position of grave danger to my shoulder.

This is forcing me to sell both bikes. I drained both gas tanks right before my last surgery and refilled (Aug15th 2015) them with fresh gas and a double dose of StayBil. I drove each one to fill gas tank and to warm them up.

They have and will be stored in my shop that has AC/Heat. I plan on exercising them every 4-5 weeks and rotate a battery tender between them.

Both Bikes are in Immaculate condition and show as good or better than a new one on the showroom. Have always been stored in AC/Heated Workshop.

Both Bikes have Yamaha 4 year Y.E.S Extended Warranty. Mileage and accessories shown below.

************************************************** *************

I will take $19,500 for the pair if they are bought together.
$10,250 if purchased from me separately.

These prices are firm and very very fair. Bikes are located in Chesapeake VA. And have clear title's

Thanks a lot..

I have been riding since 1962 and at this point to not be able to ride really sucks. If it was not for the 4 surgery's and the infection I would have probably been OK to ride. Both are hardly broken in and outfited with exactly what I wanted.....Oh well.......

Thanks Man

Gutted for you from here over the pond and very bad luck.

My commiserations and I hope you find something equally as absorbing that can help to fill the void left by your passion.

Good luck with whatever you do and hope the sale is quick.

All the best. ::012::

Sorry about your health issues. It does suck getting old. I'll be 60 in a couple of months. Thank God I'm ok to go for a few more years.

Hope you sell your bikes. It's a heck of a deal!

Deposit taken on 2014 Super Tenere XT1200

Looks like the S10 is sold. I took a $1000 deposit for delivery late in Sept. If deal falls through I will re-list.

Fast Red is still available.

Sorry to read about your health problems. I'm 51 and my problems started back in 2013 and have persisted ever since. My latest was a detached retina last month and I now have blurred vision in my right eye. Hopefully it can be corrected and I'll find that out on Monday.

Anyway, you have my "dream team" for sale and I wish that I could take them off of your hands but I have to stick with what I have for now. Good luck with your health and to the sale of both bikes.

If you are able enough, I suggest a Mazda Miata to help ease the pain. Go find a nice one from the first series, should cost you less than what you'll have from one bike sale. While is not as wonderful as motorcycling, these little cars can put a smile on your face just the same...and best wishes with your discomfort

That blows ass. I have had shoulder problems for years and I am thinking of getting a stem cell injection.

BTW, do not worry about the battery tender, just relax. My batteries last forever and I never take them out or do anything with them to be honest.

The blue Tenere came home with me yesterday. This is a 3,000 mile bike which has existed in a heated and air conditioned garage, to only be ridden on nice days. It's never even been rained on and Steve kept it looking new. He is a really great guy to deal with and I appreciate his help in making the sale go through.

Be well Steve.
