This has been an awesome bike for me when I would do longer trips which included fire roads and long hours in the saddle. Bike was meticulously maintained according to Yamaha specs. All upgrades I have made were to improve performance, handling, and comfort. The list of upgrades are as follows:
World Crosser Decals and upgrades
Custom Penske Shock
Custom Penske front end
Gen 2 flash to improve fueling
2014 Clutch basket-this was done by dealer and removed known vibration issue
Givi windscreen
Yamaha Clear Winglets
Madstadt adjustable bracket for windscreen
Custom machined throttle lock
Altrider skid plate
Givi V46 top case with functioning brake/directional lights (mThis is NOT the case shown in the pictures)
Altrider crash bars
Altrider passenger rack

Altrider Kick stand enlarged foot
Rod Bar risers for comfort while standing
Larger pivoting foot pegs
Touratech locking mount for Garmin 660/665 with hardwiring. GPS not included
Light bar

Leo Vince carbon fiber/titanium exhaust
Mitas E07 tires which have 70% left
Brakes were done less than 1000 miles ago
Oil and filter were changed at 18,000 miles

As you can see I have added over $4000 in purposeful upgrades and were not done for cosmetic purposes(aside from the decals). This is the ultimate S10 which is ready for all terrain and exploring you may choose. I am negotiable with the price by removing certain items. This bike had been garaged and well maintained. Nicely set up bike. I'm guessing the mileage is a bit over 18k, but it would be good to add the current mileage to your original post.

Bump for a lower price $8275. This bike worth every penny of my asking price given the relatively low mileage and all the additions. That being said, I need to make room for future additions. If you are at all interested give a call or email.

For anyone considering this bike Vs a new 2013 from a dealer, this is a HUGELY better deal. The riding experience will be the same between a 12 and a 13, except this '12 has serious upgrades like the '14 clutch basket and the Penski shocks that put it not just a step above, but leaps and bounds. Add in all the other extras and this is a smokin hot deal for someone wanting a Super Ten and not wanting or able to pay the premium for a '14-on bike. I have a '12 with 99k on it and have also upgraded Clutch basket as Triman has, which is a noticeable difference. This bike will run like a champ for well over another 100k w/o issues. The Gen 2 flash is another big perk that makes this bike ride and perform even better than a new '13 will.

All the other items are pretty sweet too. And if you don't like something, you can always sell it on this forum and buy what your heart desires.

On Long Island. Just East of NYC. I will assist with shipping or fly and ride for anyone interested. I'm looking at making this as easy as possible for myself and buyer. Health issues are playing a part in motivating me to sell this bike. It's been my super dependable Intergalactic cruiser ::015:: and is one of "those" bikes that I'll miss when it's sold.

A few quick questions:

What is your height/weight? i.e. what were the shocks/fork set for from Penske?

Correct that it has a tail box, but not side bags?

Correct that it does not have a pillion seat?

I weigh 200lbs with gear and thats what the bike has been set up for by Nick. However, since both the front and rear suspension is adjustable, the bike can handle a wide variety of rider and passenger weight from 185-225. If a heavier or lighter rider is interested its no big deal to change out the shock spring to an appropriate weight. The bike has a tail box and I'm including quick release Givi side racks which I used as a connection area for my Monsoon soft bags. The bags are not included in the sale. I haven't decided whether to include a Givi V46 or the Givi Trekker top box with the sale. Both boxes have been upgraded with Admore lights for full brake lights as well as directionals. The current setup is with the Altrider passenger rack but I still have the pillion seat if you don't have a need for the extra space.

Bump for additional information on the suspension. Basically just because its custom doesn't mean it will only work for me. I'm 195-200lbs with riding gear. This set up can easily adjust to riders from 185-225 lbs. A heavier or lighter rider can swap out the shock spring to another weight. Also the preload etc can be adjusted for a passenger with this same set up. I've ridden this bike 1765 miles in 3 days with the bike fully loaded with gear and luggage and then gone onto fire roads without having to change a thing. It's really a sweet suspension set up and I'd put it against the newer generation non-ES in a minute.
