Went with a set of 1.0 front springs to get rid of this dual rate nonsense. I'm sagging straight to the second anyways... Local friend of mine is Ohlins and Ducati D16 trained in Italy, he should be able to handle the shim stack.

Got a used Penske double clicker rear with a 700lb spring which won't be enough, and want to send it back to PA for service as the shaft is slightly moist, increase in spring rate, and revalve in case there are issues, they'll hopefully back it up after being serviced.

Question is what spring should I consider? I commute a lot, but the wifey rides as many nights and places as we can go all summer as well so a decent split between 1up/2up. We're not small folks, I'm around 260+ with boots, leather 3/4 jacket etc.. close to 500 combined with the addition of the pelican bags, their racks and such. After 800lbs rates the springs are only available in 50lb increments as far as I can tell. My thoughts lead me to suspect 850 will be an adequate compromise.

Can anyone comment on what rates they use and their loads?
