Almost have my new grill installed to fill the big gaping hole in the front. Just tacked in with tape in the picture.

I drew it up in CAD and had it made out of Polycarbonate ABS material. I copied the dimensions of the honeycomb pattern on the side of the bike which cover the radiator.

I would consider selling them if there is enough interest. Before I would do that though I do want to put some miles on it and make sure I didn't over look something. Not that I get on the road with it and it rattles or there is a goofy wind noise.

The only issue with me testing it right now is that I woke up to 7" of snow this morning!

I like it very much .. However many of us have plugged in the Rigid Industries 6 lamp LEF light in there.
Fits like it was made for it and MAN does it do what it's intended to do.

Welcome on, MS from MN. Sorry to hear about that snow. That's a mighty handsome grill. You're gonna get a lot of positive comments on that. When you get the chance, please post under Menber Intros. And if/when to get to the point of selling some, please pick up a Vendor's tag. Info is at the top right of the Forum Home page. In the meantime, ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

As we used to say when I was still operational, "Skills to pay the bills!" .. If you can dream this up, can you develop a grill to cover the area between the skid plate up into the front motor mount area that bows out a tad to clear crash bars etc but still leaves room for 8" of front wheel suspension travel....?

Madscientist, been thinking of something like this but solid to keep the wind from blowing up around the top triple clamp. My two concerns are wheel travel and brake hose travel.
Brake hose travel is my main worry as you can see on yours it is right behind it and as suspension compresses the lines move up and forward. Don't really notice the wind through here
unless it's cold.

Put me on a waiting list for buying this!!!! ::003:: and why have they not been funding this??? Either way give us a shout and me when you are accepting orders. i understand you are not a huge manufacture and can't put out 10,000 orders but let us know how you will be proceeding with this product ::002:: Great work and i am impressed with you design and engineering skills.

From a fellow CAD/Modeler guy, nicely done! ::008::
ProtoMold for the hard part, or...?

I took it for a test ride this weekend. There were no surprises I could see or hear. Also I compressed the suspension almost all the way and the brake hose does not bother it.

I am going to fix 2 minor clearances with the headlight bezel and make a slight modification to the mounting. I'll keep you guys posted.

Here is a pic of the new front graphics, LED indicators and grill.

What is the reason some plastic side covers come with the honeycomb pattern and some ST's have solid side covers?

Thanks

Two sides of the bike.

The radiator is on the riders left hand side and as such has a honey comb grid.

The battery etc are on the riders right hand side and as such no grid.
