Front Brake Fade

I've noticed my front brake gets soft, or is getting soft. Once today pulled all the way in and had to rely on the rear. It did pump up though. Have plenty of fluid and only a 1000 miles on it. Anyone seen this?

First Try bleeding the brakes probably just some air in the system

I agree. Air in the system. Check all your hoses and connections especially the bleeder valves. Any sign of fluid leaking out means air is getting in. Consider removing the bleeder valves and wrapping the threads with teflon tape before you reinstall. Bleed the brakes RF first then LF then rear. Good luck. I would not want to ride with only the rear brake.

With only 1000 miles on it I doubt it is air. Air will act the same all the time If it is an intermittent fade I would think it is a bad Master cyl. Take it back it is under warranty.

Tape on bleed screws is so wrong. The threads are not the seal.

You can pump up brakes that have air in the system and if you are going to use a vacum pump to bleed the brakes, the pipe tape on the bleeder valves will keep you from sucking air around the threads.

Could still have air in the line even if it look full in the window.
Lots of break line on this bike ABS etcetera, has lots of connections that could be sucking air.
Things do happen especially with new stuff, have you noticed any break issues since you started riding it?

Air in the lines acts differently as things warm up. I vote for air, an educated supposition. Takes forever to get the air out, let the shop get some practice.
