I am requesting a favor. I am prepping for a long ride and was going over my frame looking for issues. I noticed something I never have before, when checking welds.

The top shock mount is a bracket with ears that the top bolt goes through. The left ear (clutch side) is welded on the inner and outer sides to the frame member. The right ear (throttle side) is only welded on the inner side. Is this a normal condition or did the welder have a brain fart?

Thanks in advance for checking your bike for me.

From all the way over in the USA in Kentucky, thank you very much Nikolajsen.

That is exactly the spot I was describing. ::026::

If the left shock mount ear breaks off  , I guess we will know. ::021::

I hardly ever see another Tenere in my parts. Today I am out cruising the back-roads of "Gods country" and not only pass by one on a hilly/twisty section of Highway 421, north of Frankfort, but it was a red one like mine.... ::001::
