I've been involved with the forum for only a few months, but have been a member since July of '14. I was bit by the Tenere bug after riding a friends during a long distance tour of Wyoming and some other western states. I wanted to jump on this wagon earlier, but my Versys was still under an extended warranty, and honestly, I really enjoyed the bike. I put over 35,000 miles on the "V", and decided it was time to upgrade. With some more monsterous trips planned, and with the wife joining me, it was an easy decision to forge ahead. I was going to buy new, but as many others here have found, I ended up with a very well kept 2014 ES. The previous owner added OEM luggage and some tank grips, but that was it.

My quest to beginning building this bike began long before I trailered up to buy the ST. My garage was full of farkles just waiting to be added. Yes, Christmas in August was my theme as I spent many happy hours out in the workshop. I even had Fred Ziglar join me last week so he could exercise his Harmonizer for a super fast 3 minute throttle body sync (Thanks Fred!). Today, I finally received the last of my add-ons which completed my project....for the time being. Here are a few pics:

By the way, my names Jon.

Hi, and thanks for the greeting. I'm not sure if I can post a link here, but if you google DS Bikes Raid Toolbox, that should give you the info you requested.

Hi Jon,

Nice intro post. It was a pleasure to meet another S10 owner so close to home.

BTW, I didn't notice that Vette in your garage when I was there last week. Looks good.

Also, I told Jon that I normally charge $500 for my personal Harmonizer TB sync, but since he is a forum member in good standing, I settled for a delicious lunch buffet. ;D

I guess that I was so involved in my technical duties that I didn't notice.

Gee, we are both Super Ten owners and now find out that you are a fellow Vette owner. I don't have it anymore, but I did have a Vette once.

Yeah, ok, it was a cheVETTE, but still......... :D

Give me a call when you have a day off and I'll ride down for lunch anytime.

Hello back. Thanks.

A Chevette, Fred? I drove the Canadian version (rebadged Pontiac) called the Acadian when I visited family up north. Maybe that's what inspired me to drop the 'h', one 'e', and add an 'o' and an 'r'.

Welcome from Northern Illinois. One of these weekends I hope to ride down to visit my son in Granite City, and I hope to meet you and Fred. Sorry I'm going to miss the Fred Z show in Litchfield this week end. Have fun, ride safe!
