I agree, the brace was a great improvement on the Strom. The Strom has conventional forks and you can use a brace. The Tenere has upside-down forks. I don't think you can have a brace on them, at least I have never seen on for upside-down forks.
The brace on conventional forks is at the top of the outer fork body and moves up and down with the wheel and fender.
On upside down forks the fork body is stationary and the fork tubes move up and down with the wheel and fender. If there was a brace spanning the fork body, it would be in the way of the wheel moving up and down between the fork body.
