I have ridden most of those roads but it would be nice to ride them with others.
-Sawyers Bar Road is a fun ride. During good weather. Has an alternate, Cecilville Rd, which I have not ridden.
-Bald Hills Road has three very different sections. East: asphalt and switch backs. Top: Tribal lands, unpaved, hard pack gravel, if wet the clay is slippery. West: downhill asphalt, leading into tall redwoods, TCS2 minimum, moss in the middle of the road. Suited for the Super Tenere.
There are many alternate routes along the way. Less I-5 the better, IMO.
- Stewart Springs Rd / IP Rd (wanted to ride this for 5-6 years)(connects I-5 to 3)
- Annapolis loop
- Mattole Rd (rough)
- Branscomb Rd (twisty fun)
- Trinidad Scenic Dr
- Patricks Point Dr / Stagecoach Rd
- Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd (paved)
- Coast Rd / Old Coast Rd (dirt) Bixby Bridge to Andrew Molera SP
- Santa Rosa Creek Rd (connects to Old Creek Rd at 46)
- Old Creek Rd
- Turri Rd (short but fun)
- Los Osos Rd (better than the traffic on Hwy 1)
- Vineyard Dr / Chimney Rd / Nicimiento Lake Rd / Interlake Rd (connects to Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd via Fort Hunter Liggett)
- and more that you all know of.
This is just information and not meant to steal any routes.
