2012 Yamaha XTZ1200R Super Tenere

Now’s your chance to own arguably the highly optioned out Super T in the states! This is a VERY low mileage 2012 with basically the entire AltRider and TouraTech catalogs added, plus many, many other cool bits and pieces. Matter if fact, this bike is used in the current AltRider catalog. This bike has well over $6200 in additional high quality equipment!! If you were going to build/modify/equip an ALL OUT Adventure Touring bike, this is what you’d end up with! THOUSANDS less than any BMW GSA, and just as capable as anything else in the market segment. Comes equipped with all the factory goodies like multimode ABS, engine modes and enclosed shaft drive. Plus, I have all the stock “take off” parts for the new owner.

Yes, this bike has been “off road” on some adventure riding but does not have a scratch or dent and has never been dropped. Yes, it’s been in the rain and the mud, but hell…IT’S AN ADVENTURE BIKE!! I’ve ridden this bike in the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mts and down to Texas. I have 6 other bikes, so it doesn’t get all my riding miles and is currently under 9k original miles. Look at the pictures, the bike is perfect. The stock Yamaha blue paint has been accented with a Wasp racing retro rally decal set and the stock plastic side covers, S-moto front guards and the Pyramid rear fender have all been wrapped in 3M DI-NOC Vinyl carbon fiber. The look is awesome and if you ever want to go a different direction, just peel it off and you’re back to stock.

The Touratech Garmin mount shown in photos IS NOT part of the auction as I will be using this on my next bike.

A $500 deposit (via PayPal). Purchaser is responsible for ALL shipping arrangements and cost!! I cannot crate the bike, so please do not ask. I WILL pick you up at any local airport (Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati or Indianapolis) if you want to fly and ride. The bike MUST be paid in full (cash or certified funds cleared my bank) before the bike leaves my hands.

I will sell for $11,900 as it sits or $10,900 WITHOUT Touratech side cases and top case. Racks stay with bike

I have LOTS of other pics if needed

Thanks

??? Seriously, no one has any interest???
You'll get an insane number of inquiries if you sold off the accessories separately but it's going to be hard to sell a 3 year old, old version of a bike, especially out of season, at that price. Lucky SOB whoever ends up with it though. That thing is ridiculous, in a good way :)

Not sure why the original post says this is an auction, either.

Lots of people looking at this ad means there is interest. No responses means the market is speaking.

Thanks for the input. I've removed the "auction" phrase. I had simply copied my text from an earlier eBay auction. The bike brought $10,300 (without cases) and the guy flaked out. I thought I'd try here. Yes, I agree it's "off season" in parts of the US, but the south and west are still riding weather. I guess I could remove ALL the goodies and sell it for the going rate of $7-$8k, but don't want to deal with the hassle of that. Someone can save a TON of money by keeping it all together!

Speaking of the south and west, I'll deliver to Florida, Phoeniz AZ or Los Angles CA area for FREE (in enclosed trailer) for buyer at my price (or very close offer) in the next 30 days. I buy, restore and sell vintage bikes and have projects to pick up in those areas.

Also...Not looking to trade really, unless maybe you have a NICE later model KTM 450-530 EXC and cash difference!

Thanks!

Cheers :)

Good luck and I hope it's a smooth transaction. Make sure the funds clear fully before you let the buyer's agent pick up the bike.

FYI - New 2013 Super Tens can be had for $8k still, so you did well.

I'd be very skeptical of a sell like that. I'd have to have cash in hand. If they want to pay PayPal, western union or things like that run as fast as you can. You will have a nightmare on your hands when your bike is gone and no funds are in your bank account anymore. Sorry to be a skeptic but there are so many scams out there it's scary. Good luck though. Hope it works out. It's farkled to the max.
