For sale is a 2016 Super Tenere bought new in spring of 2018. It has the remaining factory warranty until May 2019. It has a bit under 9,000 miles and is in excellent condition. It is the non-ES version. I have had both the ES and non-ES. The ES is better if you frequently switch between solo and two up. Otherwise the standard ST is just fine.

I have decided to make the move to a 2019 BMW R1250GS. I like the Super Tenere better than the 1200GS but the new 1250 is substantially improved. I have a decent relationship with the BMW dealer in Milwaukee WI and they offered me a discount on the 1250. In addition I asked them to quote a trade-in value for the Super Tenere in stock form. They have offered $7500. Factoring tax savings with the trade their offer is $7920. Their quote is good until mid-February and may have to be revised after that. I have yet to decide when I am going to make the move. It could happen in a few weeks or I may elect to wait until next summer. I am currently in FL with plans to be here until early May 2019 or whenever the weather gets decent back in WI. The logistics along with some money factors suggest waiting is the prudent course but things change and I am not getting any younger. I provide the background to let any prospective buyer know that my price is firm. The easy course of action is to make the trade.

Back to the bike. It is in excellent condition and runs very good. There is a small scratch on the side of the tank. Nothing else that I could find. No accidents or tip overs. It has a tune by Anthony that helped tremendously. The pricing on the bike reflects mostly stock with the following exceptions:

ECU reflash
Delkevic slip-on plus stock pipe
Stock screen with MRA spoiler or Yamaha tall windscreen. Buyers choice.
Mirror extensions
New Tires
Fresh oil change

Additional items available:

Madstad bracket
GPS mount for Garmin 665
Factory heated grips
RDL seat front and rear
Staintune Slip-on
Givi Trekker Outback cases 37L 48R with liners.

The bike is currently in FL. Delivery is possible anywhere between here and WI. The deal will have to be solid for me to transport.

I know that these aren't selling at MSRP from Yamaha dealers, and you're basing the price off of the backup plan of trade-in value from the BMW dealer....but you are way under priced here. Or at least I hope you are, because if not then my 2012 is worth as much as a back alley handjob.

Having recently traded my 13 for a brandnew 18 ES I would say his asking price is pretty accurate, used bike prices are very low these days. However If I didn’t already have a new 18 I would be very interested in this one

I intentionally priced it towards the low end of the market as I don't like to dick around for a few hundred bucks. I have better ways to spend my time. I am ok with the next owner getting a good deal.

Great deal for someone here! Wish I could pick it up for a spare for people who visit to use as I have the same year and color. If you don't mind me asking, which flash did you use and how did you like it? I am looking to do the one from Anthony. Good luck with the sale it should go quickly!

This looks like heck of a deal to me. I'm looking but no where close to you or your snowbird route. This should sell quick.
I had an RDL seat on my Goldwing, what height, weight, inseam was it built for?

Are the things in the "additional items available" list going with the bike for the asking price or are those being sold separately? If separately, what are you asking for the RDL front/rear seats and the Madstad bracket?

Thanks for your interest.

The additional items are not included in the $8400 price. They will be available to the next owner if they choose to purchase them. I will not sell any items separately until the bike is sold. If they become available I will notify those folks that have already sent me PM"s and if anything is left I will create a separate thread for those items.

It’s kinda hard to say exactly what the trade in value was, I put over 2,000 miles on the 13 just running around to different dealers trying to buy one, the dealer I wound up buying from was 250 miles from home and they had the best price and agreed to let me use their shop and tools to transfer all the accessories from my old bike to the new one, they even gave me some help doing it. The whole trade in deal with most of the other dealers was kind of an eye opener, everyone says motorcycle sales are way down but in my opinion if dealers don’t want to work any harder than most of the dealers I visited in my opinion they really don’t deserve many sales. My 13 turned 50,000 miles on the way to make the trade, the main thing I was after was cruise control but all the other minor improvements on 2014 and up Tenere’s are very nice improvements over the earlier models.
The old one was due for a valve check and new tires, with trade in, tax, title and license I paid $12,000 to boot.
What was the mileage and trade value on the 13? Sorry for "hijacking" your sale thread bmac, but at least it keeps going to the top.

Maybe you could post to prices, one naked and one loaded.
The few things that are must have in my book are:

Heated grips
Luggage
GPS mount
Slip-on and tune
Good tires

Price fully set up with those items $9300

Price with stock pipe and existing tires $8100

Sold!

I will be listing a RDL seat and Staintune exhaust soon and will be contacting the folks that sent me a PM first. Everything else was sold with the bike.
