Typical scenario here...started out on flat fire roads...move to some hilly stuff up and down..balls grow..finally get too confident and drop it at 1 mph down a loose rocky steep hill. Bike took it well. Left OEM crash bar and case took a good hit. No damage to fan or radiator. First scars on the bike. They look kinda cool actually.

I believe a 1 MPH drop is the second most common scenario. The most common would be the 0 MPH drop.

Yup the biggest dirt bike around.
LOL
Seems to me the big radiator cover panel is just over $100 and the guards are like $20-25. Rustoleum or stickers for the boxes.

My first drop of this bike was off-road in a muddy rut....I suck at riding off road and made the rookie mistake of hitting the brakes when I should have gassed it. No damage as most of the weight was on my scuffed up Trax box.....second one was couple of week ago making a routing U-Turn on paved road and just got too slow and too tight.....over she went, I hopped off so I never hit the ground.....drop was so slow no damage....Hit the Givi engine guards and the Trax box again....picked it up and off I went...

You don't ride much if you've never dropped your bike.

esp when you tell your wife to go ahead and dismount, only you have failed to put the kickstand down. ::010::

Dumped mine last fall on a forestry road after a rain(muddy wet leafs) 2 up at slow speed. Some how bent the shift lever over and back and the shift rod at a 45deg angle. I was able to use the tools in the kit to take it apart and gently straighten. Thought that was the only damage (besides where my wife had been beating me). Found out that the lower rad mount was bent, the round peg that goes in the factory eng. guard. I discovered this when I was installing my Alt rider crash bars. Carefully bent it straight and all is good .....so far.

Been there! More than once. The last time I slid to a stop. It was not pretty. But the crash bars and my panier saved my leg and the motorcycle.
