Sure is, by the time I get my ride the range of products should be pretty good, may have to place one bulk order to save on postage etc.
Yep, I recon you are right.. Certainly by the time the bikes roll up Stateside there will be a huge array of accessories and mods available.

Next pics are the Yamaha accessory "Touring screen".
Not my cup of tea, and in fact I believe the standard screen still offers the best range of adjustment (and looks better too :))

Greg.

P.S - Thanks for the comments guys, but stop, you're embarrassing me.. :-[

I'm in the UK waiting on the 2011 models (midnight black for me), I'm sure I'll be emailing you at some point in the new year. Looking forward to your updates and more new products. What else you have in development at the moment?

While studying every photo, in great detail, of your adjustable wind screen brackets, I couldn't help to notice the "clear plastic" wind deflectors, mounted behind and below your device. Where would one find a way to look into such a addition to the S10? GP

Check with your local yami dealer. That is an OEM accessory you can get from them.

Hey Greg, how does the Calsci mini compare to the stock screen with the bracket adjustment in the ideal position? I will most likely have both screens and would prefer the smaller screen most of the time given Socal temps. Does the Calsci mini give a smooth enough airflow to not be giving up much over the large stock screen?

Greg,

How do you like the wind deflectors, do they contribute to a quieter ride at highway speeds?

Thanks,

Steve

Pure Genius! Are you planning to make an animated .gif for these images. I already made one from images 07, 08, 09, with no intention of posting anywhere. I just wanted to see it in motion, which looks really nice. Hope I didn't cross any boundaries.

Bugger the "boundaries"... Post it up mate, I would love to see it.
If you are any good at that sort of stuff (ie: know how to do it) and have time I could send hi res pics to you of the complete range of motion.

The Calsci tinted mini mounted on the windscreen adjuster still offers a good degree of protection from wind buffeting when adjusted correctly, but the width of the quiet zone on the tinted screen is far narrower than that of the standard screen.
I think also that because the standard screen has the curved lip at the top (and sides) and is taller and wider it offers FAR more leeway and a bigger quiet zone than the tinted shorty.
Before the adjuster came along I would use the tinted on suburban rides, which did present a problem at times because I ride from out of town 50kms at 110km/h to get to suburbia, and I would use the touring Calsci for long country rides.
Now days I leave the standard screen attached to the adjuster and do the 15 second raise/lower to suit my needs.
The one screen now does everything I require and does it all very well with no compromise.

Greg.

To be very honest Steve, I'm not quite sure.
At the time when I received the winglets I was in the midst of a lot of screen swapping and adjusting (Calsci high, low, Yamaha touring, standard etc and did not really stop to evaluate.
I have a feeling they do have an impact but to what degree I have not stopped to think about.

Greg.

Ok, I'll give it a shot. Might take a little practice.

Later......... I tried to post and had to retract it because it just froze on the first image. Moderators, any advice on posting an animated GIF?......

Later.......Tried again but it won't stick. If you'd like a copy of it PM me and I'll email you the GIF I made, compressed or otherwise. It does look pretty cool. ;) I can drag the finished GIF into a web browser and it works great, posting is another question altogether.

I can do the full range of motion, as you say, but the camera position will have to be the constant, while you change the windscreen position. Looks like you're already shooting on a tripod, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'll keep the posts about this on the PM side to avoid "drift" of the original post, until I get the GIF sorted. Carry on then.

:D Where have I heard that before?

Not having a go at you Ollie.

I think Greg is bit busy riding and designing. And so he should be 8)

Cheers

I just got my MotorradWorks mount from Michael and was happy to find that the screen contour and bolt pattern are almost identical to the V-Strom specs. I have many different screens for the Strom and plan to experiment with them on the MW mount.
The hole pattern is not exact between the two screens but close enough that with a little enlargement it could be made to work.

Michael from Motorad emailed me last week to say that the next batch should be ready to go late last week or early this week. I have not heard any further news.

I just checked the Motorradgarage web site and saw they are not listed :'(

A large batch were delivered late last week and another is due mid of next week, so the guys who had them on order should see them soon.

We had a huge storm here that knocked out power + phones + ADSL early in the week so maybe Mike hasn't been able to update the site yet.
I will be seeing Mike tomorrow so I will see if I can offer a hand to clear the back log.

I will report later.

Greg.
