Finally discovered cause of Bobble Eyes......

Had a problem with eyes "jiggling" around so badly I could not read street signs at 50 mph or over.
Tried 3 different windshields, thinking that was the source.
Then, I took the face shield off my Nolan N44 Helmet and put the visor on.
No more bobble eyes. (The jiggled vision thing was happening with visor up.)
Wonder if this is a common problem with riding with visor up, or unique to the Nolan???

Thanks for any enlightenment. There are prolly threads on this, but searching on bobble eyes brought up nothing.... :)

I use my N43 a lot and haven't had this problem. I do have the tall Yama W.S. with it raised 2.5". Works good for my 6'3".

Thanks. I have the factory screen, a Calsci large, a Givi Airflow, and a Parabellum. Also, Madstad bracket.
Have not narrowed it down to a favorite yet. I am 6-2 with 32in inseam.
They all seem to work pretty well.

Helmets with visors are not really designed to be worn with the face shield up at speed. Did/do you have the chin bar removed? I see this is a convertible helmet, allowing the chin bar to be removed and a visor to be installed instead of the face shield, but I don't know if both can be used with or w/o the chin bar.

I hope you wear some other eye protection. Was the "bobble eyes" effect with out any eye protection? With face shield down as well as up? If it didn't happen with the face shield down... perhaps you should consider using that bit of safety equipment. ;)

I have a GMax GM11D helmet (Cheap price Nice helmet).
The visor gave me massive Jiggle Eyes figured out the visor is to thin and not much meat at the mounting points.
Solved it with small wheel weights under it from my Mechanic, seems to work.
This helmet is quieter than my full face street helmets.

EricV,
On my version of the Nolan N44, it is either the visor or the face shield, not possible to use both at once.
Yeppers, with face shield closed, no bobble eyes, so that is an obvious smart fix.
I do always wear prescription glasses or prescription sun glasses. Also, I use the drop down tinted shield when face shield is open.
Going for a ride tomorro, and dug out the chin bar, which I have never used. Thanks for reminding me that I have it!
Will give it a try, altho it seems to me it complicates getting the helmet over my big head with the chin bar installed.
:)

Thanks for filling out the picture, so to speak. Got to love the drop down sun visor! I have that on my LS2 and my wife loves it on her Schuberth CW-3.

Just FYI, I have pretty much decided the 3 way tie for best windscreen is now between the Calsci and Parabellum. The Givi Airflow does a pretty good job of moving wind blast up and over, but does not lend itself to taking any pictures thru it with smart phone mounted on handle bars. Its function is good, but much better vision thru the other 2.
