After seeing gravel roads going up into mountains for a long time, I finally have something to explore them on. My other main ride is a 2014 Valkyrie. Picked the Tenere up in Wisconsin and rode it home (1500 miles). Very impressed with the bike. Ive owned over 50 bikes (mostly used). Already put an Akrapovic slip on and a Sargeant seat on it. The more I ride it the more I like it. It feels great in the corners and I might not even monkey with the suspension. I have been endurance roadracing an R6 for 13 years and riding motorcycles for over 50. Thinking I am going to go with the Alt Rider crash bars and looking for a frame mounted skid plate. Cant wait to explore the off roads.

Welcome! That's a good way to get used to a bike! Glad you are enjoying it.

In the CMRA (Central Motorcycle Racing Association) the R6 has become the bike of choice in Big Bike Endurance and the R3 in the UltralightWeight Endurance. They are very reliable, especially considering we run the heck out of it. Not thinking bout comfort when you are racing, just ::26::
