Looking at upgrading the stock exhaust on my '16 S10 and would like feed your feedback. These are ones I've found that supposedly fit the S10:
Remus - Yoshimura - Two Brothers - Leo Vince - Akrapovic - Arrow (assuming there may be more)
Not looking to wake the neighbors, just a bit more sound and performance. Also would like to keep the stock heat shield on the bike so it would have to fit much like the stock silencer. Also any thoughts on adding the Power Commander V & dyno tuned. Thanks!

I have an Akrapovic on my 2012. I love it. It is marginally louder than the stock exhaust, but throatier and more authoritative. The Akra is basically plug and play. It fits exactly as the original silencer and the stock heat shield can be left in place. I can't comment on the other enhancements you are looking at, as I do not have them myself.

Cheers,

Bruce

Ive had three.
ART from Europe. Rubbish
Two brothers, loud as sin
Staintune (still on the shelf) had it custom made. Slightly louder than stock, with baffle in. Epic sound with baffle out
Arrow (Full system). The arrow is a nice pipe. With the stock headers and baffle in it sounds nice. With the arrow headers, it's hellishly loud, but I love it. It really woke up the bike.

I've heard decent things about the Yosh. They always made good pipes

I have a write up about the pipes here

I've got got an Yoshimura RS4, like the Akra it fits really well, exhaust shield still fits and no melting indicators or number plate! Nice sound on tick over, deeper than stock with a rasp when you rev it but it's not too loud on the road. I had an old strom thou that was hard work at speed due to the noise.

Totally agree, the Akra is a good choice, but expensive.

However, if buying with a bike, you can easily negotiate 20% discount. It is also fully certified for road use, so stops any legal issues of some after market exhausts.

I've an Akra and looks great, sounds great nott too loud Just a throaty roar and as it's an official yam accessory no issue with with warranty I guess. Bought mine in Italy for a very good price compared to yam. Yes it is expensive but the quality is first class and no corrosion and it's been fitted since February.

I have used the same Akra on my 2012 and now on my 2014 ES for a total of over 58,000 miles and it still looks and sounds great. As others said, it adds some tone without being loud and mostly, it looks so much better than the original fugly pipe. ;D

I've got the Yoshimura can on mine. It is just a touch louder and deeper than stock. I wish it was even a bit louder and deeper still though. I am not sure if it was worth the $420 I paid for it. When I was shopping for an exhaust, I didn't want too loud of a pipe so I guess I am happy, just not 100% happy for how much it cost.

Agree 100% on what is said above about the Akaprovic.

Had it on my first S10 for 60 000 km and the same one on my ZE for 30 000 km and still the same as day one.
