I have a 2013 (non-ES) S10. Not sure if the ES models use any of this real estate, but I am able to store the following under the driver seat, so that I still have full ability to repair a tire even when I'm not using my panniers:
- Rocky Creek Motopressor mini air compressor
- Dynaplug tire plug kit
- standard tire plug kit
- Dynaplug CO2 tire inflator (backup to compressor)
- wire cutters for pulling nails, screws, etc
- tire gauge
- razor blade
- spare fuse

I have my seat in the low position, and also did the rear leveling mod to the seat, and it all still fits. My OEM tool kit is still behind the right fairing cover. I've ordered a Givi S250 that I'll mount to the inside the right pannier (between the tire and pannier) that I can use to store my rain gear, even when not using the panniers.

I was surprised how much fits under there. Frees me up for a lot more offroad sans the panniers.

I couldn't fit anything more than my Starcom and associated wiring under the seat with my ES. Must be a lot more room under there for the standard models.

I miss all that space under my previous 2012 but enjoy the 2015 ES with the Altrider rear bracket and Storm Ind custom storage bag.

Would you mind telling me where you ordered the Givi S250 toolbox from? The only place I saw it and tried to order from was twisted Throttle, and they are backordered until September at least.

I keep a first-aid kit under my seat, then I put a compressor and tools in a 30 cal box on the right side.

That's where I ordered it from. Got the same back order notice, so will wait for it to get here. In the meantime I just put my rain gear in a small tailbag.

Managed to pick up two off a UK Ebay seller... it's the universal fitting kits that are in short supply...

Are they listed as Givi S250? Everything I see is from Italy with $70 shipping or more on top of the price.

Thats correct but you then need to add the fitting kit which is another £50 or so..

Tractor tool tubes bolted to the inside of the pannier rail work just as well and hold the same i'd say.

Thanks for bringing this up, I have never attempted to store anything under the seat simply because I thought there wasn't much room, will be taking a more serious look at it tomorrow .
