I'm going to toss this into my Amazon shopping list while I await your report on how well it works on the S10.

What specific model of the Autel do you have, that you'll be using with the cable?

It’s in the first pic I sent as well. :) On the packaging. I sometimes expect too much from my fellow forum members. :). I should be careful might get a post taken down and square off with management again. :(

The unit works you just have turn every thing off on the bike wait a few power up and the code is clear. At least that’s how it works on my car.

Anyone with a direct injection car. They build up carbon on the valves and run like shit. I spray intake cleaner or carb gleaner in a vacuum hose into the valve cover. It cleans out the carbon. I do it at every oil change. Be advised it will put your car in limp mode if you dont clear code. Your car will run like a top.

Now that we may have a way to clear codes this should work on our bikes as well. Avoid giving our hard earned money to Tabasco :(. Thickness of oil, change interval, and octane all play a role in carbon build up.

Long and short of it a dead end. The cable will adapt to the scanner. Wont fit on the bike. Apparently you need a 2017 or later bike to perform this feat. Younger bikes are stuck with yoga like button pushing sequences timed perfectly to a waltz. :) Good thing these things are reliable. Well there is always the shop should there be a need. Or another small reason for a new bike :)

Ok, found the port, hooked it up. Unit powered up read my bike cycled threw all the checks, when it was hand shaking it would report fast data rate and slow switching back and forth, then proceed to the next read. After it had completed its reads I would get an error message that the unit failed to sync. Tried with the ignition on, engine running, and completely off. It felt like it was close but was purposely programmed not to Cooperate.
