Engine sound & clutch

Have a 2014 with about 2500 miles on it and I noticed with bike in neutral at idle when I pull in the clutch the engine sound/noise changes quite a bit. I never noticed this before and wonder if this normal or something that should be looked at. The motor seems to smooth out when clutch lever is pulled in. I've never noticed this on any other bike I've owned. Anybody else have this going on ?

If it sounds like a box of spanners wrapped in a blanket falling down steps than that is normal, the older versions did not have the blanket wrapped bit.

Mine to, my Fz did it as well. When I went to Synthetic it got better.

Well good to hear it's normal kind of odd that I never noticed this on other bikes but the only other Yamaha I owned was 450 dirt bike.
I'm using Motul synth blend I think it's the 5100 brand. Next change it will be full synth. & I'll see if that makes a difference.
