I believe the S10 TCS modulates the throttles, since they're electronic and under computer control. But you can get some pretty strange sounds from the driveline when the TCS kicks as the drivetrain rubber bands and the system alternates cutting power, regaining traction, and then spinning the wheel again.Don in Lodi said:As noted, that is the traction control kicking in. My takeaway from this thread is there is a lot of worry about various noises, but they're under unusual conditions - whacking the throttle at low RPM, power slides, TCS engagement, etc.. You expect clunky noises in these dark corners of the operating envelope, especially with singles and twins.
