Hi guy's
I'm a rather short owner of an s10 and have both the high seat and the low seat. I notice recently the forward tilt after several long hours of riding. What would be the easiest way of losing the tilt. Make the front of the low seat higher or make the rear of the normal seat lower? Been riding S10 now for almost 1 year with low seat and don't find it so super conformable and soft. Originality the high seat was also to high for me so I bayed the low seat and after that I also lowed the bike a bit but more at the back I think than in front because of the clearance between fork heads and steering handle.

I do like the idea of goiong tot he hardware store and buying things to "Red Green " a project. However after messign around with glue, tape and the perfect hardware part, I simply trimmed the oem rubbers to the suitable length. That solved the under the seat, now need simpler pice for the part at teh back of the seat that latches the seat...

Thanks Guys, in my hotel room modding my seat right now. Only doing a few hundred miles tomorrow, but lots of hours, so we'll see how it goes. Blue Ridge Parkway.
Bigbore4,

Enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway......my wife and I may be headed up to our place this weekend near Balsam Gap (milepost 442). Enjoy your ride ::008::

I did the seat mod yesterday and what a difference. I used the rubbers bought from Lowes and a tube of glue I had in the shop.
Worked great.
I also put my Airvent seat cushion on from my old wing.. Now that really makes a difference. Much better for my skinny butt.. :D

I didn't think such a small change would make such a dramatic difference.
Definitely the best $3.14 I've ever spent on any ride.

I should have done this 3436 kms ago.

Thanks SpeedStar, the pictures really helped.

Another THANK YOU for you!
1600 miles with tilt, before your fix - some discomfort.
After your fix - zero discomfort!

I didn't even bother with the rubber bumpers, just a pack of the adhesive felt pads that were about 1/4" inch thick for 3.49 from the local hardware store and put a pad in place of stock rubber ones and two doubled up on the seat brace, about a 2 minute job total

Terry, I ended up going with lower profile rubber bumpers in the rear too and needed to trim the plastic lip toward the front of the bumper area away so the seat is not sitting on this plastic and the frame. It looks like you might need to too.

hehehe. that's exactly what i did with the exception of the two felt pads on the tongue. the seat wobbles a bit forward/back, but it's secured to the seat lock so i'm not too concerned about it.

Looks like it, I didn't even really notice, probably won't really hurt anything with the plastic hitting, but trimming it will drop the seat a little bit more, I'll look at it tomorrow.
thanks
