ecu removal

can everyone who has done it start posting photos and details on removing the ecu pls, for us that havent yet cheers ::008::

No pics, but easy peasy. Right side upper and lower cover off, disconnect battery, top right wired connector pulled back off the rubber band holding in in, remove 2 push pins and one bolt and nut that holds ecu cover on, unplug ecu's two bottom connectors and it's out. I used the pics on the other thread as guidance. Took 5 minutes and I am not handy.

Uh oh. the Dreaded ECU Labotomy. Why would we want to remove the ECU? Inquiring minds want to know? ???

Go to modifications section and check out "power restriction in first three gears now lifted" thread. They're getting ready to send their ECU to a Yamaha dealer in Italy who will reflash it...heck, I might even do it..only problem is keeping another $$ECU$$ on hand for bi-annual vehicle inspection.
